This is the place where italian non-speaking people can open topics and discussions about japanese swords.

Enjoy!

Yes there are.

Hi Jock!
you're welcome!
...do you know John Grasso? He's australian (but his parents are italian). He's a nihonto collector, here is his website www.nihonto.com.au

I've never been in the "down under country" but i'm sure it's beautiful.
Now I'm sure that we have Italians, Australians and Americans. :ok:
P.S. it's written "Lago di Garda" :brooding:

"lardo" in italian is the pig's fat!

if you came back in Italy you must taste the "Lardo di Colonnata" : on a slice of toasted bread is fantastic

excellent ! So.... there is a way to communicate within this (as I see...) very good forum even in "other" languages.
This makes things a lot easier, indeed...

Kadrang Namarie Ilya Mellin Nilme !!! (... sorry, this is elvish... by far the best way to share a farewell)

I would like to show you one magical piece: http://www.ricecrack...izashi/sw10.htm
Ningen Kokuho-Living National Treasure made wakizashi in rare sosho tradition (one of the gokaden-5 styles). His son Gassan Sadatoshi is a mukansa ranked and maybe he is the next to be designated as Ningen kokuho.

Gassan style is beautiful. the gassan hada is something unique, not only for the pattern but also for the lumnous hataraki.

I had the fortune to quickly see a katana (a shinshinto Gassan) some years ago and I remember it like some of the best blade I've ever seen.

I can only agree with you.... I can tell that i like tha Gassan family works very much.... great family tradition, nice forging and heat treatment and wonderful works.... The current head of the family Gassan Sadatoshi is a mukansa ranked and as i already know his son is on the way to continue the fmaily line in the case of swordmaking and that is a good information for all Nihonto lovers all around... The same situation is in the Yoshihara family, where Yoshikazu was the youngest in Japanese history ever ranked as mukansa (he was 36 at that time)
